For starters, a recent study shows that the law school rankings continue to rise. Also, a new agreement between Willamette Law and Western Oregon University expands access to students from Alaska.

Willamette Law has been known for its historically progressive approach to legal education. In recent years, it has been preparing law students to practice in a changing world. It recently announced the addition of a new faculty member and an expanded 4+3 program with Western Oregon University. This new arrangement will also enhance the quality of experiential learning for students.

This year, Willamette Law also announced the launch of the Signature Strengths Initiative. This new program will provide law students with a unique individualized legal education experience. It will help prepare students to succeed in a variety of professional and personal situations. The initiative will also include a LexScholars Post-Baccalaureate program.

Willamette Law has been promoting a number of faculty members to tenure. Professor Robin Morris Collin will lead environmental justice efforts in communities disproportionately harmed by pollution. Additionally, the College of Law will add a new curricular modernization component to its curriculum. In addition, the Law Library has received a donation from the estate of Marty Wolf. The College of Law recently announced the addition of a new alumnus to its faculty. Geoff Winkler, who graduated from Willamette Law in 2001, is currently the CEO of American Fiduciary Services. He began his academic career in a different field, but eventually landed in employment law. After a difficult start, he decided to change his career path.

The Willamette Law Immigration Clinic is the only immigration clinic in the state of Oregon. It is also the only clinic in the state of Oregon to offer an ABA-approved, specialized 4+3 program.

The Willamette Law Class of 2021 overcame several obstacles in order to pass the bar exam. As a result, the students represent dozens of states. The students also formed their own law journal in the fall of 2016. The Journal of Salem Law students will be releasing its first issue in September.

The Willamette Law Bruce Spaulding Trial Competition held its final round of contests on September 14. This competition featured third-year law students.
